Description
We now experience a massive ecological crisis manifested in global warming and climate change, extreme weather events, pollution of air, water, and soil, rising sea levels, prolonged wildfires, loss of biodiversity, desertification, and many other phenomena of environmental degradation. This lecture shows that the Bible harbors deep ecological wisdom that teaches an ethics of care and responsibility for the well-being of the Earth and for future generations. On environmental matters world religions have much in common and they can mobilize humanity to address the challenges of climate change.
